This policy covers the Mortar Gun Drills mobile app and the mortartraining.com website, both operated by Mortar Training Development Systems LLC (“MTDS,” “we,” “us”). It is written in plain language on purpose. If something here does not match what you experience in the app, tell us — the contact details are at the bottom.
The app does not collect personal information. There are no accounts, no sign-in, and no profile. We do not ask for your name, rank, unit, service number, phone number, or location.
The app creates and stores data as you use it — your drill history, timer results, and quiz progress. This stays on your device. We never receive it.
The app does not request access to your camera, microphone, contacts, photos, or location.
If you choose to give us your email address — through the AAR feedback form on this site, or an optional signup in the app — we collect only that address and whatever you write in the message. Providing it is entirely optional, and the rest of the app works without it.
Drill and quiz data is used for one thing: showing you your own results and progress inside the app. It is not analyzed, aggregated, sold, or shared.
If you send us an email address with feedback, we use it only to reply to you about that feedback and to let you know when the app ships. We do not sell it, rent it, or pass it to advertisers.
Your drill history, timer results, and quiz progress are stored locally on your device. They are not uploaded to our servers, because for this data we do not operate any.
If you use your phone’s built-in backup (iCloud on iOS, Google backup on Android), app data may be included in that backup. Those backups are handled by Apple or Google under their own privacy policies, not ours.
Deleting the app removes the drill and quiz data stored on your device. We cannot restore it, because we never had a copy.
Email addresses and feedback messages you send us are kept only as long as needed to respond and to notify you about the app’s release, and are deleted on request.
The app does not include analytics, crash reporting, advertising, or tracking SDKs. Nothing in the app profiles you or follows you across other apps and websites.
The app stores are the exception, and they are outside our control: Apple and Google collect their own download and purchase information under their own policies when you get the app.
This website is delivered through Cloudflare, which processes standard request information (such as IP address) to serve pages and protect against abuse. We do not run advertising or cross-site tracking on this site.
You can use every training feature of the app without giving us any personal information at all.
Mortar Gun Drills is a professional military training tool. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
If this policy changes, we will update this page and move the effective date at the top. Material changes — especially any change to what we collect — will be called out on this page rather than slipped in quietly.
